Longital and Hyperpotamus at Quencherspotam

This is a photo I took when I went to see Longital at the Quenchers. Slovakian pop. This is a great segment from WBEZ about them.
Hyperpotamus was also amazing.
Using a Loop Station and the 3 mics (left, center, and right in the stereo field) he composed loops live with just his voice and then sang over the top of what he created. His use of more complex harmonies and rhythms made it much more enjoyable than anyone else I’ve seen or heard that utilize the same techniques.
